Baja California 2010
Whales, Dolphins and More!
Come join Michael Fishbach
for his 14th season in the area surrounding Loreto on Mexico's Baja California peninsula. In February and March when some of the largest animals on earth, the baleen whales such as the blue whale, visit these waters on the Sea of Cortez, Michael will once again be there to observe and study these gentle giants. The public is invited, to witness some of nature's grandest forms, from the boat that Michael works on. Hundreds have come over the years and watched in wonderment as we observe the whales and countless dolphins living their lives in this rich sea.
From our boat, we experience the profound peace of the deserted island
beaches, snorkel among thousands of tropical fish, and even soak in hot
springs upon the seashore. On off-water days, we hike and explore the secrets of
the fabulous wet canyons in the nearby towering Sierra de la Gigantica
Mountains.
Accommodations range from large private houses
right upon the sea to hotels in town. Beginning in 2003
Michael will also have available a boat that sleeps up to 8 people and tows the
boat he works off behind it. In this way one and all can sleep in remote
anchorage’s under the starry desert sky or in a cabin aboard.
The
airport of choice is Loreto. There are 4, daily non-stop (1 hour 45 minute)
flights to Loreto From Los Angeles.
Come witness firsthand some of the most awe-inspiring animals that we
share the earth with. This is a rare and unforgettable week!
